Fate is but Time’s fortune,
A lie is all Truth knows,
Yesterday is but Tomorrow,
Death is as it grows

Thought is strength in moments,
A face is all one sees,
Beauty is but a power,
When the weak are left to freeze

The mystery of an answer,
To a question never asked,
The wrong is always right,
The impossible–an easy task

For failure to reach, one will now seek,
The limitless End is gone,
But as we disappear,
The Hope is never torn

Our World (1997-1999)

Bless this planet where we were born,
And where we live from dusk till dawn,
Bless the poisoned food we eat,
And bless the murders in the street,
Bless the creatures–forced to run,
And the poacher hunting with his gun,
Bless the dried up river beds,
And all the fish that lie there dead,
Bless the trees that are not there,
And bless the musty, smoky air,
Bless night and day and empty skies,
And the grounds where wilted flowers lie,
Bless the hungry, sick, and poor,
And bless the love that is no more,
Bless the greedy–proud and strong,
And all the people treated wrong,
Bless the shadows and the fears,
And bless the lives so full of tears,
Bless the bitterness of wars,
And the unfair and immoral laws,
Bless the rays from the expanding sun,
And all the harm that has been done,
Bless our lives–now null and void,
And bless the world that we’ve destroyed

The Holocaust (1997-1999)

Unknown to me is who they are
Although it’s fairly clear
And as I wish upon a Star
My heart is filled with fear
Who am I? Am I still me?
Do I still have my dignity?
Although I’m trapped, I can be free
To choose the words I want to hear

My life is theirs, my soul is mine
I need the strength to cope
The enormity of a single Sign
A certain degree of hope
How can I believe what I am told?
Words can be as pure as gold
The truth and hope that I still hold
Moral sense is on a downward slope

Can violence quench the Anger thirst?
Is there end to what they’ve done?
The weakest feeling is the worst
And I’ve nowhere to run
As I listen to the words they say
I try to flee, although I stay
How could life turn out this way?
By the power of only One

Broken World (1997-1999)

An atmosphere of broken tears,
A world of lonely graves,
Our hopes and dreams are full of fears
that sink beneath the waves

No place to run, no place to hide,
Our deaths come one by one,
Our sins float in upon the tide,
We’re poisoned by the sun

The mountains are no longer high,
The valleys seem so tall,
The Earth spins ’round above the sky–
A weeping, seeping ball

Lost among the roses red,
Found among the shells,
The silent ringing in my head–
The constant sound of bells

The cliff, the fall is coming near,
The danger lies ahead–
A future for us all to fear,
A present clearly dead

Our lives are lost, we must be brave,
And now we all must mourn,
For the Earth is in its rotting grave–
Long loved, long lost, long gone

Life’s Circles (unfinished)

Oh, happy Sun, where have you gone?
oh, life within itself
To end the aging storybook
and place it on the shelf

The horror and the crying shame,
the tragedy of a loss;
A lifeless branch falls from the tree
to touch the fresh green moss

To open casket, we all mourn,
the minutes ticking by;
The Sun goes down, the sun comes up
to hear the baby cry

Death as a Beginning

The grassy weeds they pull me down
I want, I want, I need to drown
Empty tears, drench the pain
Remove these scars that yet remain
Go on, pull me under to the depths
Go on, go on, remove my breath
Cut me open, make me bleed
This death, this death is what I need
I sink, I fall, but happiness? No.
Oh, take this pain! Oh, make it go
No, this is such an impossible win
To end the sorrow, it all begins

It is a unity that breathes

It is the life I live

Yet it is a sadness you cannot see
Underneath–the scars and pain
An ache for nonexistent love
This burning driving me insane

Ugliness Forever

I want to rip off your face
I want to hide those marks forever
Tearing, wrenching, remove every trace
You cannot put those two and two together
Mind and body, face and soul
Wishing, wanting they were one and the same
Two wrongs together cannot make a whole
Two rights and it will not be my name
Remove flesh from bone, skin from skull
But yet the ugliness it lingers
It is the essence of you I want to kill
And that is the stuff that remains forever

Love’s Worth

How can I believe the words they say?
How can a person like me be loved?
What sense of worth do I own?
How can I redeem myself in the name of affection?
And do I really deserve it anyway?
For I am weak in the ways of the world,
Yet innocence remains
It is this trap I am caught in, this conundrum of a paradox
For I wish to be loved but cannot own it
